Ukraine and its partners are actively engaged in the country's recovery efforts, allocating funds and launching various programs

Ukraine and Germany have signed agreements for the provision of €41.2 million to implement the project "Housing for Internally Displaced Persons" and create energy-efficient housing for displaced individuals. An additional agreement was signed, increasing funding by €17 million. As a result, approximately 400 new preferential housing loans are planned to be issued by 2024.

Another grant agreement of €24.2 million has been signed, aiming to improve housing through the reconstruction of existing buildings using modern energy-saving technologies and the construction of new structures. It is anticipated that 700 families will benefit from this initiative.

Simultaneously, Ukraine and the World Bank have agreed to focus on supporting the private sector, launching mortgage lending, and analyzing and financing specific investment projects. Grant programs to support small and medium-sized businesses, veteran support programs, and instruments for insuring against military risks are among the initiatives.

It is noteworthy that Nadiya Calviño, the newly appointed head of the European Investment Bank (EIB), has identified providing financial support for the reconstruction of Ukraine as one of her priorities in this role.
