The Government Supported a Bill to Ban the Use of Russian Software.
The Verkhovna Rada has registered Bill No. 11492, in which the Cabinet of Ministers proposes banning the distribution and use of software and information resources created by Russian companies.
The draft law proposes to prohibit software products developed by companies or individuals from sanctioned countries; companies in which a sanctioned country holds a share of the authorized capital; companies under the control of foreign companies or individuals engaged in terrorist activities; individuals who are subject to sanctions, regardless of their country of origin; and software that uses the source code of other sanctioned products.
According to a study by the Ringostat platform, which is part of the Netpeak Group, the demand from Ukrainian businesses for the installation of Russian CRM systems has decreased since 2021 (73%) but still accounts for 14%. The demand for Ukrainian CRM systems has increased from 5% to 53%, and for systems from other countries—from 23% to 33%.
Additionally, since 2021, the share of companies using CRM systems from Russia has decreased more than fourfold (from 73% in 2021). However, a significant number of companies—17%—still use Russian CRM systems.
