The Government has updated the procedure for reserving persons liable for military service for defence industry enterprises.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has supported an initiative of the Ministry of Defence and adopted amendments to Resolution No. 76, which regulates the procedure for reserving persons liable for military service during martial law.
The relevant decision is aimed at improving the mechanisms for reserving employees of defence industry enterprises that are of critical importance to the economy and to meeting the needs of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine.
Under the updated procedure, decisions of the Ministry of Defence on designating enterprises, institutions, and organizations as critically important in the field of the defence industry will no longer specify the number of persons liable for military service subject to reservation. This approach is expected to reduce the sensitivity of data and simplify administrative procedures.
According to the Ministry of defence, the adopted amendments take into account the specific nature of defines industry operations during wartime and create additional conditions for scaling up the production of critically important weapons and equipment for the defence sector.
