The Government Automatically Extended Existing Employee Deferrals by One Month Due to a Cyberattack on State Registers
The Ministry of Economy's press service reports that the government has automatically extended the validity of current employee deferrals by one month due to the recent cyberattack on state registers.
Example:
If an employee’s deferral was set to expire on December 20, 2024, it will now be automatically extended until January 20, 2025. However, for deferrals that expired before December 19, 2024 (prior to the cyberattack), employers will need to renew them once the registers are restored.

Deferrals issued by the Ministry of Economy or through the Diia portal will be automatically extended by one month but not beyond February 28, 2025.
The Ministry of Defense is required to make the necessary updates to the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Service Members, and Reservists within five days of the regulation coming into effect.
