Statement for compensation for the destroyed real estate object

The Law of Ukraine No. 2923-IX of February 23, 2023, which establishes the legal and organizational principles for providing compensation for damage and destruction of certain categories of immovable property as a result of hostilities, terrorist acts, and sabotage caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, has entered into force on the 22nd of May 2023. It also establishes the legal framework for creating and maintaining the State Register of property damaged and destroyed as a result of hostilities, terrorist acts, and sabotage caused by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

According to this law, a statement for compensation for the destroyed immovable property is submitted to the Commission for Consideration of Compensation Issues, which has the authority to review such applications, within the respective territory. Such a statement can be submitted during the period of martial law and within one year from the date of its termination or cancellation in the territory where the destroyed immovable property is or was located.

A separate statement is submitted for each destroyed object of immovable property.
