Ministry of Economy Resumes Applications for Critical Status for Agro-Enterprises

The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine announced the resumption of applications from agro-industrial enterprises seeking recognition as critically important for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the population’s livelihoods during a special period.

Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, Vitalii Kindrativ, noted that enterprises, institutions, and organizations that have already received critical status will retain it until the end of the validity period of the corresponding order. At the same time, agro-industrial entities that need to obtain or renew the status may submit applications through the DAR portal.

The Ministry reminded that, to obtain critical status, private enterprises must meet two mandatory criteria:

• Salary level: The average salary must be at least UAH 20,000 for the reporting period.
• No debts: The enterprise must have no arrears to the state or local budget for any taxes or fees.

In addition, the enterprise must meet at least one of the following additional criteria:

• Paid taxes and contributions exceed €1.5 million;
• Foreign currency inflows exceed €32 million;
• The enterprise has strategic importance for the state (as listed in the strategic facilities register);
• The enterprise is a Diia City resident;
• The enterprise has significant importance for the economy or the needs of the community.
