Fines for labor violations will increase from April 1, 2024

Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs employing hired labor are subject to fines for violations of labor legislation, in accordance with Article 265 of the Labor Code of Ukraine. The amount of the fine is determined based on the minimum wage, which as of April 1 is set at 8000 UAH according to the Law of Ukraine dated November 9, 2023, No. 3460-IX.

Fines for various violations include, for example:

  • 10 times the minimum wage for allowing an employee to work without a contract, part-time, or with an irregular work schedule;
  • 16 times the minimum wage for obstructing an inspection;
  • 3 times the minimum wage for late payments;
  • 2 times the minimum wage for violating minimum wage guarantees;
  • 4 times the minimum wage for failure to provide guarantees and benefits to employees on military service.
