Excise tax rates on wines and fuel will increase
The Government, at its meeting on March 22nd, approved a draft law proposing a gradual increase in excise tax rates for wines and fuel, bringing them closer to the minimum level set by the EU.
"The review of excise taxes is driven by the necessity to align national legislation with that of the European Union, which is currently relevant due to Ukraine's candidacy for EU membership," the statement said.
It is anticipated that the implementation of the provisions of the draft law will allow for additional revenues to the state budget in the second half of 2024.
