Deadline for payment of vacation pay

A draft law No. 9309 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Deadlines for Payment of Vacations" has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

According to Article 115 of the Labour Code of Ukraine and Article 21 of the Law of Ukraine "On Leaves," employees' wages must be paid before the start of their vacation for the entire period of their leave, unless otherwise provided by the employment or collective agreement.

However, provisions allowing the deferral of payments to a later time without specifying maximum deadlines worsen the conditions for wage payments to employees.
