As of 4 December, the Law on Reserving Employees of Defence and Critically Important Enterprises Has Come into Force
On 4 December 2025, Law No. 4630-IX entered into force, establishing a special procedure for hiring employees at enterprises, institutions, and organisations recognised as critically important for the functioning of Ukraine’s economy and defence industry.
The Law, in particular, provides for:
- a probation period of no more than 45 calendar days for any category of employees when hiring;
- the possibility to conclude an employment contract with individuals who lack military registration documents or whose documents are improperly issued, without violating mobilisation preparedness legislation.
These changes will enable the prompt engagement of new employees to address staffing shortages at critically important enterprises, institutions, and organisations.
