On 1 February 2026, Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 75 dated 21 January 2026 enters into force, introducing a new, detailed mechanism for the sale of assets recovered to state ownership on the basis of court decisions imposing sanctions.

Private Enterprises Must Transform into LLCs by 2028

As of 28 August 2025, the repeal of the Commercial Code of Ukraine has changed the legal framework for private enterprises (PEs). The loss of their regulatory basis requires PEs to undergo a transformation into a limited liability company (LLC) or a joint-stock company (JSC).

The Law on Crediting Insurance Record for the Period of Forced Absence Has Entered into Force

On 26 January 2026, Law No. 4697-IX “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding the Inclusion of the Period of Unlawful Dismissal in the Insurance Record” entered into force.

As of 1 February, amendments to the Civil Code regarding intellectual property rights have entered into force.
